VALLEY STREAM, NY, May 5, 1999 - Robert L. Israeloff, CPA and Chairman of Israeloff, Trattner & Co., CPAs, P.C., has been has been named one of the 1999 recipients of the Peter von Berg Humanitarian of the Year Award by the Nassau County American Red Cross. This award was established many years ago to recognize an individual or group who has made an extraordinary philanthropic or humanitarian contribution to the community. In recognition of his efforts, Mr. Israeloff will be honored on Thursday, May 20, 1999 at the Red Cross Dinner Dance, being held at the Marriott Hotel in Uniondale.

Robert L. Israeloff, CPA, has been the visionary behind the growth of Israeloff, Trattner & Co., CPAs, P.C. into one of the region's leading certified public accounting and financial management consulting firms. Selected by Accounting Today as one of the 100 most influential CPAs in the United States, Mr. Israeloff has been an active member of a number of professional organizations, and has served as Chairman of the Board of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and as President of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. A noted speaker and author of numerous articles on professional issues, Mr. Israeloff has long-time experience in business and financial planning, law firm management consulting, mergers and acquisitions, alternate dispute resolution, business valuation and litigation support. An approved NYS Supreme Court Mediator, and Accredited Estate Planner, Mr. Israeloff holds a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA in Taxation from Baruch College. In recognition of his many accomplishments, Mr. Israeloff was awarded the AICPA Gold Medal for Distinguished Service, the CPA profession's highest honor.

Mr. Israeloff's community activities have been meaningful and varied. He has held a number of community service positions including President of HIAS Inc. (the International Jewish Rescue and Migration Agency,) Board Member of ORT, Board Member of NYUJA Federation, Board Member of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, Vice President and Treasurer of Inwood Country Club, Treasurer of the Village of Hewlett Bay Park, Campaign Chair of the Five Towns United Fund, and Treasurer of Peninsula Counseling Center.

Bob Israeloff's community and philanthropic awards have come from the American Jewish Committee, American Heart Association, Wharton Club of Long Island, and Israel Bonds, among others.
